Violet's gardening gloves and hand tools, on the bench outside her back door.
She is no longer here.
I feel.I only have one auntie left, and she's 92.
I'm sorry to hear that your auntie is no longer here. She nearly made it to 100 and I hope she was gardening until the end. She had a great name.
I have no aunties, mum was an only child and dad had only brothers. All gone now. My gardening things are in a box by my back door.
Your photo is poignant and evocative, Francesca. I am sorry Vi is no longer here. I've enjoyed reading about her over the years.
Photo is all the story of Vi right there, The gloves well worn curled around , holding something light and invisible.Wonderful photo.
Thank you, all. Vi was gardening this summer, up till her 96th birthday on August 7, when she began a steep decline.Because she couldn't get up and down off the ground easily, she planted marigolds by digging a hole and pushing them in with her feet!
I feel.
