Red Hair Girl Sighting Birthday Card

Mz is famous with me for making birthday ... um, messages.
You may remember her macro story about the time Captain Kirk tried to make me a birthday cake. That was right before we met up in Spain to walk the Camino in 2011.

Well! This year in time for my birthday she received images of Red Hair Girl on her recent travels.

Remember Red Hair Girl, the first of the Orphan Red girlettes, had hit the road when I moved? I'd received information in the late fall that she had traveled the trans-Canadian highway to Alaska, and in the spring she was going to be making her way to Russia... I don't know why.

The images of RHG's travels are now in a little (17-second) video for me:
[Oh, dear... is this playing for you???]

Let me try a smaller file...

Still no? Well, here are some stills:

It's set to a snippet of Badfinger's "No Matter What" (1970)

Red Hair Girls and the others were Made in China. RHG may be making her way to her birthplace. (Like a salmon?)

RHG is the freest and wildest of the girlettes, and I still miss her. But no matter where she goes, I will always be with her.

  1. Too bad it doesn't play but the photos are delightful anyway! Run free, RHG, run free! (I know you will!)

  2. STEVE: Made me grin too. (Even though I wrote it!)

BINK: RHG is a free-running girlette, alright!
