I'm moving!
As I was biking home, I didn't recognize many of the streets I was on.
It's good I'm going house sitting for a month--I'll move on Sept. 1, or earlier.
I went out to dinner to celebrate. On the way home, I saw a double rainbow, which I've never seen before.
When I was a child, an old woman who lived three houses down from us (I used to visit her every day after school) pointed out the second rainbow that was forming near the full one already glowing. She said a double rainbow was a sign from the heavens that your luck was going to change for the better and your happiness would be doubled, too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like she knew what she was talking about! Congratulations of your turn of good fortunes, Fresca! You're overdue for some, to be sure.
When we were on our way to my dad’s last days, we had an enormous (single) rainbow arching over I-70 for at least an hour or so. I took it as a sign that all would be well, as it would be — meaning not that my dad survived, but that we were able to get him out of the hospital and into hospice. Yay for rainbows!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy for your increase of work hours and for the place to move to! Double rainbows are somewhat common out here. But any rainbow brings me joy; I saw one on a gray afternoon the year Tim and I had been trying, fruitlessly, to get pregnant, and soon learned our desire was granted! This meant a lot, of course. May you be granted your dearest desires, dear Fresca.
ReplyDeleteHappy with the great news! (and double-happy with the rainbow picture).
ReplyDeleteNow I wish you the rest of the best!
THANK YOU, everybody, for the good wishes!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to share it, and to spread the good luck of the rainbow too!
You've probably known Patti at least 35 years. Hahahahahahaha. We are so old! I've known her 46 years!!! I hope you love living together. I look forward to exploring more of your new neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteAha! Now I found the post I missed. Hope you have a great move and enjoy the cat-sitting in the meantime!
