We have snow here in the Twin Cities this morning. Pretty, especially in the sunshine, but a bit too early...
I have put in enough hours this week but was going to go into work anyway today, because I'm having fun unpacking the big donation that came in a couple days ago:
a couple dozen boxes of not only good vintage (and newer) books, but also many vintage linens––all price-tagged, so I'm guessing these are estate sale leftovers, but unusually nice ones:
However, it's only 19ºF / -7ºC, and windy, so it's a good day to stay home and cover my windows with plastic.
This year I don't have to wrap my porch door though because--oh, happy day!––the new door fits so well.
Here it is, entirely ice & condensation free:
On the chair ^ is a hand-embroidered Bear's Days sheet from the vintage haul: "Wednesday's" are Bear Butt Mending Day;
The Doll, by Carl Fox (Abrams, 1970s), also from the new donations;
and a box of sewing supplies––not from that haul, but from the store.
I brought all these things home to look at more closely; I'll mostly photograph and return them. (Might buy that doll book though...)
