when i first saw this, i immediately thought of the turtles who come ashore in florida to lay their eggs.

there is something about it that makes me want to come back to it

That pattern would make a beautiful gauzy silk or shimmering rayon scarf; one you wrap around your shoulders on a cool night or wear as a turban. The solid portion would look nice (I think) done in any one of the other colors of the caterpillar's skin, as well!
