Penguin patterns

I posted these covers of mid-century Penguin music scores on IG this morning (from the thrift store)—pattern design by Elizabeth Friedlander, a German, Jewish, graphic designer who fled Nazi Germany (some covers of the series by other designers too--I'm at home and these booklets aren't in front of me):

And then I went for a mammogram. The gown looked like it could be a Penguin cover pattern:

Penguin reprinted so much out of print stuff. I wove our best selling garments in a twill called Irish twill and recommended to be learned by every weaver, back in 17th century. Penguin reprinted the little pamphlet.

I need to book my mammogram. They keep sending me reminders and I keep forgetting to book. I hate having them done, it's painful having to stand a certain way, then "lean in and don't move". I have old sprains that always ache after. At my last one I asked what age do most people stop having them and was told around 70, then the last reminder two days ago said "your risk increases with age". Well, damn. Guess I'd better book it.

Lovely patterns and print.
I had my last "squeeze" last year, so probably just one to go. Along with the scrape 😕 still, better safe than sorry.

Oh, I didn't know they recommend STOPPING mammograms!
I looked it up:
"U.S. screening guidelines recommend that women continue getting one ***until 75 years of age".

But wait:
"about 1/3 of breast cancers are diagnosed in patients aged ***older than 70. "

So, shouldn't we keep getting mammograms then?
