Well, for heaven sake, they threw the carnelian stone off the canoe dock into the lake!
“It wanted to live there.”
In fact, I think the stone had done its work, and it was really an intense Stone—sort of not for keeping.
Thank you, Stone!
Thank you, Dolls!
Thank you, Lake!
It is an intense stone. The next finder may be quite puzzled, so much work has gone into the stone.
ReplyDeleteOh Dear, that is a sad loss but be advised that edges are like that, step back , little girls...You are not good swimmers!!
ReplyDeleteWhy is the Carnelian intense? I don't know much about them. I have one somewhere, along with amethyst, quartz, jade and an obsidian shard. There are others in the bag but I don't remember what and I can't find the bag.
ReplyDeleteJOANNE: I like that idea, that someday someone will find this stone again. "It has a peculiarly dollish feel to it..."
ReplyDeleteLINDA SUE: Not good swimmers--truly. (THey threw the stone in on purpose though.)
RIVER: Well, I don't know anything about gem stones and their properties, but it just FELT intense.
I was carrying it in my pocket after the girlettes were balancing with it, and it just felt like... I didn't want it that close.
Not because it was bad!
It was good. But just... I don't know.
Intense orange--maybe like it was hot?
It would be better living in the cooling water, the dolls said.
