I was thinking of this one from Holiday worn by Julia Seton (Doris Nolan), below, left:
Cary Grant/Johnny is engaged to marry Julia, wealthy daughter of a banking family. Gradually, he realizes he's chosen the wrong sister.
Linda Seton (Katherine Hepburn): What is it you want, Julia? Just security? To sit smugly back in your bank vault among the worthies of the world?
Julia Seton: Well, one thing I don't want is to start this endless, aimless discussion all over again!
I haven't seen that movie in years. Time to revisit it! The "ear hat" is a bit like Julia's, I agree.

ReplyDelete"Holiday" is such a great movie and classic Hepburn (of course, aided by screenwriters!). I often wished I could be as witty as she was.
