Cool Old Stuff

The Cool Old Books Shelves are expanding to include Cool Old Stuff.

The games are from the 1960s, by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (3M):

There's a also a pink trunk for doll clothes; barkcloth fabric curtain; sewing patterns from the 60s; Smith Corona typewriter (types, but action needs help); Kodak slide boxes;
 clear Lucite atomic-starburst wastebasket (rescued from the garbage where the Church Ladies had thrown it);
hose-and-cap hair dryer; and a doctor's leather bag.

  1. This is a great idea!

    I remember the games although I don't think my parents bought any of them.

    The 60's and 70's were a time of playing games (pre-computer days!). Although I do remember when the computer arcade games were coming in. Since most of my college friends were male they were always dropping lots of quarters to play them- Pong was one of the first we played and then the one that changed the race track every time you went around. They were also big into Risk and Sports Car Club of America.

    Ah, the simpler days..........

  2. Fun! Thanks for sharing, Kirsten.
    I remember playing PacMan in 1980, but I've never been much of a gamer:
    I mostly only like things that have some ideas to them, and most games tend to be more about experience and math/logistics.

    However, when I was a kid, we would play MONOPOLY with some friends for whole Saturday afternoons--I loved it!
