My Mom said I used to do that, make up stories to go with the pictures, when I would "read" to my younger brothers and sisters before I ever attended school. It worked, too, until one of them noticed that what I read wasn't what I had read before.
ReplyDeleteI stopped "reading" to them after that. Just showed them the pictures.

ReplyDeleteI used to babysit for a little boy who had memorized picture-book stories so well, he could recite them accurately as I turned the pages.
It took me a while to realize he couldn't read!
Angry Red Panda looks like a voracious reader! Maybe he helps Baby Sweet Potato with some of the bigger words.
