My auntie sent me this photo of her with Black Bear, the restored bear I sent, who arrived this morning.
She wrote that she's taking him in her knitting bag down to her local coffee shop this afternoon.
It's a small thing, but this makes me about as happy as anything I've ever had a hand in.
You know? It's the happiness of when a thing you can do––and want to do––slots neatly into the need or desire of someone (or something) you love.

What a lovely photo of your auntie and Black Bear. Black Bear is smiling!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great thought to remember: "'s the happiness of when a thing you can do––and want to do––slots neatly into the need or desire of someone (or something) you love."

Thanks, Kirsten!
ReplyDeleteBlack Bear is smiling, you're right---he's a happy bear!
Say, may I ask a little about you--sounds like maybe you do thrift too? Or stuffed animals?
Okay, I do thrift and have a somewhat secret love of stuffed animals. Although I am finding that the choices in thrift stores have really changed over the last few years-more of the stuff is newer stuff which I have no interest in. When I lived in Alexandria, VA, estate sales were on my to-do list every weekend but in NH they are few and far between.
ReplyDeleteI still have some of my stuffed animals from childhood including a large stuffed dog that lays flat. Love to put pillows on it and read.

Thanks for filling me in a little, Kirsten!
ReplyDeleteSweet!
