Anatolian Eggplant, by Habib

In Turkey, 1998, I noted in my sketchbook the steps to make stuffed eggplant, from a Turkish (Kurdish) archaeologist, Habib, who had voluntarily toured me and my traveling companion, Allen, around Hattuşaş (Hittite capital from 5000-1200 BCE).

It's not terribly useful---it's the sort of recipe people give to other people when they assume the other people already know how to cook ["Turkish rice and ground meat (cooked)"].

I'm making it tonight for my friend Laura's birthday---will consult a Turkish recipe cookbook for aid.
