Look! I'm starting to read your blog again. These girlette costumes are fun---Pensive Bear's robot looks like a toaster: like she's dressed up as the Brave Little Toaster.
They halloweened very well! I would give them ALL of the treats! The orphans here missed the whole event but are yearning to go to the toy cemetery today for day of dead. Your carved jacko-lantern looks like he would like to go too. Excellent costumes, all of them!
KIRSTEN: The robots are printed cloth, you're right. I'd been saving this scrap for ages---Halloween was finally the right time. The girlettes' faces are slightly different--from different years of production/design--and they have different hair cuts--but I think they just look different because they're individuals! :)
LINDA SUE: I hope your orphans got to go to the cemetery. Maybe next year the girlettes will make an offrenda altar... though they say they don't die. "We just melt."
TORORO: Thank you! These are my favorite costumes I've made in a very long while. The girlettes ate soooo many mini-Tootsie rolls, they had to lie down all night in a sugar stupor (they usually don't lie down)!
