I
got the bivalent Covid vaccine yesterday afternoon--my third booster. It's by Moderna--to protect
against the Omicron variants, which are the main ones people in the US
are getting.
(Yale Medicine overview)
bink had made appointments for both of us, and she drove us out to a suburban Walgreens.
I'm
glad I got it--good timing, two weeks before bink's wedding, and also
before doors close and keep us inside.
I was feverish and sore all
night, and this morning I also feel as if my head were soggy and heavy.
I
am not going to work.
SEVERAL HOURS LATER....
A two-hour nap in my own bed in my own apartment, and I’m feeling a lot better, 23 hours after the Covid booster.
I’d set up a new display at work yesterday, for the change of seasons. Turned out to have a pie theme. It’s pretty warm still (high 70s today)—kinda hot for baking—but it does feel like fall. Every day is shorter… Equinox is in five days.
I want to add some novels too. Fall is reading weather!
Gone!
I sure preferred the last cat-sitting gig, when the owner who was leaving for four months said, “Contact me if you have any questions… or just make it up.”
We have just got our covid booster and flu vaccination appointments... luckily the same day and place, 15 minutes apart, in the village community centre.
ReplyDeleteA lovely display..yes, Pies!!!! It is that time of year 🙂
Cat owners? Yes, briefly reassure and Don't Worry!
GZ: I got my flu shot at the same time too. Two sore arms! Glad to be immunized though.
ReplyDeleteI am going for Reassurance as my cat-owner plan.
a 2 hour nap is what helped me when i had my second booster.
ReplyDeletei understand the house sitters as i did the same recently when i had to board my dog but did so because he had never been to the place before!! he did well and they did notify me when he had an issue.

ps and a big yes to pies! i have rhubarb in the refrigerator for a pie later this weekend. pies used to intimidate me especially the crust but i realized that as i made more of them and more often they are a piece of cake. and see why housewives used to make several of them a week. if you know what you are doing you can make a pie from crust to oven-ready in less than an hour.
