The Penny Cooper Takeover

That Penny Cooper!
Off and on lately, she has been sneaking onto my blog  and writing posts.

Penny loves research and facts and analysis so much, she gets upset when data is ignored. She is definitely an "I can't come to bed, someone on the Internet is wrong" personality. In fact, due to her size (small), she has to type with a pencil eraser, and I expect she has been staying up half the night composing her posts.
Please forgive us if they're a tad pedantic.

(I did catch her in time before she wrote a post about the different kinds of poppies, their colors (quite a range!), and the etymology of their names, interesting though I have to admit that all is...)

She is very pleased with her work. Top of her class!

  1. Penny could not be pedantic enough especially regarding poppies, favorite flower of all time. I admire her curiosity and ability to write so much with an eraser. She may be well pleased with her work as it is exceptional. Her sisters that live in this house are goof balls, full of admiration for the erudite Miss, Cooper, especially as they can not even read yet. At the moment they are finger painting- therapy...

  4. I admire Penny's research skills, something I never learned to do, apart from reading an occasional encyclopedia, but delving deeper? No idea how or even where to start. Meg says "Hi Penny!"

  5. Thanks all. Penny is happy to hear your words of encouragement. :)

    RIVER: Penny says: HI MEG!!!
I used to write nonfiction for young readers (school library books) so I got deep into research, and Penny picked it up from me, I guess.

  6. Good to see Penny is working hard. My girlettes say that they want an adventure as they have been a bit shelf bound recently. I promised them one soon! I found you on instagram too, as I was looking for your thrift store and found you instead! I didn't realise just how many Madeline people are on there! I remember Susan Sanford from years ago when I was blogging more regularly. I love her work so it was fun to find her too. Small world on the internet!

    Or caps!

Oh, wow--you know Susan from Art Sparker days! Small world indeed.
Her blog was a great hub.
I miss those days of blogging.
I think most creative maker types moved to Instagram?

  9. Couldn't help but notice all the comments and encouragement Penny Cooper gets. She's a very popular girl(ette)! Probably others are going to want to write guest columns now.

  10. BINK: There's an idea. Girlette guest posts!
But Penny is really the most motivated---the others can't really be bothered.
