Sometimes we ARE smarter than goats.

Marz said working on a farm, it struck her that humans are smarter than goats.
I'm so often frustrated by our limitations, I don't always appreciate that. Sometimes we seem so hopelessly dim... doing everything against our own self-interest. In my darkest hour, I think it's like we may as well be farm animals.

But today I am weeping over our miraculous brains.
Humans were able to develop vaccines for Covid within a year because we had the virus's genetic sequence---something I understand so little, I'm not even sure I said that right---but I know it's a bloomin' miracle,
. . . and GOATS COULD NOT DO IT!

I was talking to a friend who said, we are of the generation that got vaccinated for polio when we were kids---after generation upon generation of people living in fear of smallpox, and measles, etc.... And tuberculosis and the plague (that's bacteria, so it's antibiotics that takes care of those).

I was moved to tears to see the first person in the UK getting her jab, 90-year-old Margaret Keenan. She wants to encourage others...

Go, Team Human!
