Why is blogger posting my pictures sideways?
I’ve lent out my laptop and can’t be bothered to figure it out on my phone at the moment.
I’m sorting old pencils donated to the thrift store (an entirely optional task...). I’m impressed by their names—they sound like Thoroughbred racehorses names.

The word "phone" might be a clue...

I've never known pencils to have great names like that. I have red and black striped ones called Staedtler Tradition, also blue and gold striped ones called Staedtler Goldfaber. I haven't noticed any other kinds available here for decades.
ReplyDeleteSarah went to a pencil museum in England, of course! We are mad about pencils, i have stacks of them and keep getting MORE! Mine do not have fancy race horse names, tho.
ReplyDeleteThe Wallace Invader was a long-lived brand name. I’ve never seen the others.
ReplyDeleteI have one National pencil, a National’s “Fuse-Tex” Skytint Red & Blue, no. 516. Such a loopy name that I wrote a blog post with its origin story.
"Invader" sounds like an awfully aggressive name for a pencil!
