The Suitcase

Stuff keeps happening.

I've never been so aware of and so immersed in History as It Happens before. Not quite like this.
When I was a kid I was aware of the Vietnam War and the peace movement, etc., but I was too young to have a role in it.

As a young adult, I was immersed in my times but didn't have the bird's eye perspective age has given me.
. . . But I don't want to write about History Today, today.

Here's a simple, happy event that feels a bit out-of-time, or timeless:

at work yesterday, a pal gave me a wonderful old, leather suitcase for Penny Cooper in the Blitz. I strapped it to my bike rack and pedaled it home (taking a break at these rocks along the Greenway bike path).

The girlettes love it! It's going to be the stage for their for Undaunted tableau.

  3. Useful to store them all in too if you ever need to.
The bike with the case strapped on is a story waiting to be told.
