2. I'm tired of watching POI's episodic "crime of the week" episodes, so I looked around to see it there's a list of the best serialized story-arc episodes.

The article says that by Season 3, almost every episode is serialized and they don't recommend missing any.
3. POI reminded me of another book to add to my ReRead List:
Flowers for Algernon. by Daniel Keyes.
In the show, a fourteen-year-old girl checks this book out of the library just before she goes missing. I must have been that age when I read it. Have you?
I liked it enough that I remember it fairly well, but I never reread it.
It's about a man with a low IQ who takes part in an experiment that substantially raises his IQ. So, it's about messing around with intelligence, which is a subplot of POI.
4. One more thing. I'd said POI was "vigilante porn about as original as Batman".
I was thinking of the Batman of The Dark Knight. (The 2008 one, the one with Heath Ledger.)
Turns out it is that Batman--POI's creator is Jonathan Nolan, brother of Christopher, with whom he wrote TDK.

I vividly remember "Flowers for Algernon," and it's still a perennial favorite in our school library! I haven't read it since I was in 9th grade or so. I should re-read it again, too!
