Explanation:
Marz sent me the screencap of FBI agent Scully (Gillian Anderson) in a top hat---a favorite of X-philes (fans of the TV show, The X-Files 1993-2002--new mini-series coming in 2016).
Naturally I thought of Marlene Dietrich (in Morocco, 1930).
Scully's reply is a lame half-pun on the name of her partner, Mulder (David Duchovny), with whom she may or may not be in love/lovers.

Until the Bleak House, I had no idea how lovely Gillian Anderson is. That costume did her no justice.
ReplyDeleteYes, but I like that she wasn't on display as a sex object but was dignified as a working FBI agent. And you can still tell how attractive she is... especially in a top hat! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, agreed, glad they didn't play that up. Still, they seem to have gone to the opposite side. Or maybe when she was younger, the first few seasons when I watched the show, she hadn't quite grown into her face yet.
