"The Shell Seekers" by Ms. Pilcher is one of my all-time favorite books -- and I don't like anything else she wrote. Potato, potahto, but maybe give The Shell Seekers a try? It's a lovely summer read.
Someone else recommended that title to me--I'll try it!That other one I read (skimmed, in 10 minutes) wasn't even *written*, it was an assemblage of hackneyed phrases.
