hey! from one anti-kapitalist to 'nother: I know you prob'ly 've been told this already, and I know you might just be taking the pix for love-and-sanity-and-art's sake, but, IMHO, these and many other's you've taken are marketable--no pun intended. I know I'd buy a calendar or postcards of much of your work if you got 'em printed up...These make me salivate and want to go back to the wonderful teeny little 4-stall farmer's market that's here in my hood every Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the parking lot of Calvary Lutheran Church on the 39th Street side round the corner from Chicago Avenue. It just started up this summer; the prices/produce are wonderful; and, we need folks to come out and support the vendors so the market survives. Your pics make me still wanna cook up some delights no matter how sticky and hot!
Wonderful photographs, Fresca! These should be published in the art market. I would love a 'coffee table' book of things found in a farmers market, one of my favorite places to browse.
Lovely work, much appreciated.
(I kid you not, the word verification is Allis, as in allis-chalmers tractors! Did get that brand right? Allis-Chambers?)
Many delicious dishes ready and waiting to receive these wonderful treats!

yummy, sensual, lovely . . . . .
ReplyDeleteespecially the yellow flowers . . .
ReplyDeleteFISMO: Tonight I ate a pear from the market with goat cheese.
ReplyDeleteSTEF: Hey! That would be fun, to put together a calendar from my photos. I am a nonstarter at selling things, but they could be Christmas presents...
ANON: The yellow flowers are squash blossoms--a whole tub of them in the morning sun.
They're a hit. Very nice capturing of the market produce. Much better than what's on SuperStock... you should sell to/though them.

Amazing how all these pictures seem to be multiple eyes staring back.
ReplyDeleteOr is that the Rorschach effect and revealing unwonted self-revelations?
