Uh oh. Should I have used primer?

Hm. I thought the color would be more cinnabar than cherry...

(Good-bye, Baltic Sea. Good-bye, tiny herring.)

  1. The guy who just painted my apartment didn't use primer, stating that you didn't need it if the paint you're using is darker than what's on the wall. Caused many more coats than he planned.

  2. Is that herring blood in the water?!

  3. LOL! I used to have walls that colour - when I came to sell my flat it took me 4 coats to get it to a cream colour.....

  4. I like the side by side red and aqua. Your space looks so big in this photo. Yum-yum red.

  5. DANIA: The woman at the paint store told me the same thing: the dark red would cover the lighter sea-green. Ha.

CROW: Wow! I didn't even see that until you pointed it out--blood in the water.

GINGA: 4 coats... that sounds about right.
    Especially with my wave motif.

BINK: I like it too--now I wish I'd left a strip of the aqua showing. Oh well.
You're right--this photo is deceptive--this room is tiny.
