Just this afternoon. When the manager added up all the extras(firewire, camera bag, DV film cassettes, etc.), I handed her my plastic and said, "Don't tell me what the total is."

So, sorry, you won't be getting any birthday presents from me this year.
Yeah! that is SO exciting! I can see it now--they'll be asking me, "So, tell us, what's it been like being the sister of a famous movie director?"

Since I heard the news from you last night, I'd already decided that when I see you on friday, because we wouldn't see each other on my birthday (thursday), I would tell you my best birthday present would be my happiness over your new movie camera.
