You Won!

That worked out well! Twelve people played the give-away, and though I didn't have enough copies of Finland for all who requested it, I did have enough back copies of other books for everyone to get one. I'm glad they're going to new homes.
I'm off to the P.O. now with a pile of padded envelopes.

(Don't feel you have to read your book and report back--this isn't middle school (thankgod) ...and none of my relatives ever did.)

  1. Things I have won:

1 - A supply of toothpaste and soap in an Art competition when I was nine. Trying to tell me something, obviously...

2 - A Holiday for two in Paris. This was for coming up with a caption for a student holiday company. The Hotel was in Pigalle, the red light district, Zoot Alors! The loo was three floors away from the bedroom...

3 - £100 on a fruit machine, hooray! Paid for a whole weekend back in 1989.

    4 - A book by Fresca, hooray!

Thank you, you are very kind.

  3. Sorry, I didn't get a chance to comment yesterday, but I wanted to add in my public thanks for your very generous giveaway. Looking forward to the DRC-Congo book that is coming my way ...!

  4. Bolivia! Hooray! Thanks, Fresca; I just showed the book to a bunch of my son's friends who showed up to watch a movie. They were polite, of course, but I think they were a bit amazed that I know someone who wrote a textbook (and sent me a copy). I'm so jazzed to have it. :o)
