365: It Was a Lovely Year

.
It was.
And now, thankgod, I can stop even pretending to take a self-portrait every day.
Whatever made me think that was a good idea? Still, even my sluggish efforts did give me an interesting record of my past year.

  1. Speaking of the boy who never grew up, (and who was usually a girl).....the one with the ST mug = Peter Pan face.

  2. Hey, yeah! I wouldn't have thought of that, but I do have a Peter Pan–like wink on there, eh?
    I like it: thanks.

  3. I think it should read "E stato un bello anno"... but that's not important, because it's the lovely smirk behind the paper that counts!

Your new year is off to a great start!

  4. Thanks, bink: YOU speak better Italian than I do (not that that's saying much).

  6. I have loved your 365 project! You inspired me so I've been doing one, albeit casually, from the Cyber words I have to enter whenever I comment on your blog. The rule was I had to record the "word" every time I commented. The last one is today's.

  8. ISABEL: I keep your brother and you in my prayers.

LILL: That's WONDERFUL! You have a poet's eye.
That list could provide sci-fi characters' names or be the base of nonsense poems, etc. etc.
Thanks--it's very cool you did that!

(But "mange"? I know I've had some bad hair, but...)

  9. Heya! Isn't "mange" also Italian for "eat"? My Italian is nonexistent; I fake it from stuff I've sung and what I know of Spanish and Greek. I'm so happy you did all you did in the cyber and real worlds last year...and, Lill, ooohhh what a cool idea to create a cyber poem!
Yippeee, Frescadita! U R NO SLUG, GAL!

    Love and Hugs,

  10. It was such a beautiful year! I was looking through them and thinking, "What a beautiful life." And what a beautiful human, too.

    Hugs,
    Krista

  11. STEF: I guess it is some form of "eat"--my Sicilian grandmother always used to exhort us,
    "Mangia! Mangia!"

KRISTA: Thanks. A beautiful human, hair notwithstanding. : )
