But everything Astaire does is perfectly placed. Look at the angel scene and notice how Astaire deliberately places his hands and arms--those motions are as tightly choreographed as his footwork. In comparison Kelly's hands and arms are almost flailing about.

In this clip Astaire's not a cat at all...he's more of a wiry terrier to Kelly's big lab. Both were delightful dancers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229875339727095184.post-76268816829679083862008-10-15T10:52:00.000-05:002008-10-15T10:52:00.000-05:00Gosh, I thought you'd seen every dance scene ever!...Gosh, I thought you'd seen every dance scene ever!
I've never seen this movie, actually, just remembered the clip from the "That's Entertainment" movies, which I loved when I was a kid.Frescahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15323129046492056942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229875339727095184.post-51745096267496484332008-10-15T07:48:00.000-05:002008-10-15T07:48:00.000-05:00Thank you.
