I remember the Melies film from my first film class! Love the target on the back of that one guy!

The piano score was very impressive on the Trek Melies film. But why did they pixelate the movie (I'm assuming it was done on purpose)... to make it look older?

I don't know bink, but that's what I guessed too--to make it look aged. The quality is a little clearer on the filmmaker's own web site than this youTube copy. Originally filmed over a weekend (I think--brief time, anyway) in 1994.
