Balls

From the Shatner Hasselfhof '08 campaign, whose slogan is "From Yesterday's Tomorrow, for a Better Today!"

Who in the world is David Hasselhoff? He's the star of Knight Rider, if that tells you anything... It didn't me, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. The show (1982-1986) featured a modern-day knight who drove a car with artificial intelligence. Its creator said it was "Kind of a sci-fi thing, with the soul of a western."

Hmmm.... A car with AI sounds smarter than some of our politicians...

David ("the Hoff") Hasselfhoff was also the star of Baywatch and is a huge star in Europe where he has a singing career. He is also an Internet joke all by himself for various reasons. I'll see if I can find the video of him singing that made the rounds last year.

We never watched Baywatch, but Knight Rider was great fun. Like My Mother the Car meets MacGiver or something. (Just possibly, you've never heard of those shows, either. :oO)

I'm afraid I missed out on television in the late 1980s and all of the 1990s because I was working evenings in a library, and after that I found I didn't have the tolerance anymore.
But I do love that I can at least sample shows on DVDs now. So Maybe I'd better look up "Knight Rider," if the Hoff is going to be our v.p.!
