Elections today! (Huh?)

Yup, it's Primary Election Day today.
In my neck of the woods, we get these stickers (left), which confer full kvetching rights until the November presidential election.
No sticker, no kvetching. (If only.)

Locally, If you need, go to the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State site for candidate information and to find your polling place.
Polls are open until 8 p.m..

I like voting in primaries, if only for the glow of righteousness I get when I see how impressed the workers are that I* showed up to vote for rinky-dink stuff ...like judges.

Um, but the truth is, I totally forgot it's Election Day.
My Dudley Do-Right pal Bink reminded me. She's a Virgo (and she lives near Canada). While I'm fretting about the spiritual psychology of politicians and protestors, she's calmly figuring out where, when, and how to vote.

[ *When I went to vote this afternoon, the automatic ballot counter registered me as voter number sixteen. It's a tiny precinct, but still... Anyway, I announced, "I'm voter #16!" to the four poll workers and they raised a scrappy little cheer.]

I'm about to go! I used to love to give the sticker to my daughter when she was little. Once, my car wore it.

I was voter number 76. My election judges cheered me when I signed up for more info to be an election judge of my own free will... as one of them put it, "we didn't even have to twist your arm". There were half a dozen other signatures there--I guess at least six other people left with sore arms.

We are honorary (or real) Virgos, all!

I'm supposed to be an election judge (poll worker) for the upcoming election too--should be interesting.
(Hmmm...I never thought about it before, but presidential elections are held under the sign of Scorpio, with its Snape-like energy.)
