As part of the Powderhorn Art Fair Acoustic Music Concerts,
James and I [Stefanie] are performing this weekend as our "dynamic duo," Corazon En La Mano,
noon to 1:00 p. m., Saturday and Sunday, (August 2 & 3).
(The music is at the Rainbow Teahouse gazebo overlooking the south side of Powderhorn Lake.)
We mainly do Sefardic Jewish songs, sung in Ladino, (Jewish-Spanish); some Yiddish; some English language; also now, an Arabic Palestinian song and some Spanish songs from Andalusia to Chile and a few Markopoulos melodies.
Momo adds: A free bus that will run every 20 min. from the Uptown Transit station, Powderhorn Park, and Loring Park.
If you feel up for a stroll by the lake and are willing to brave the sticky weather, all of the musicians playing throughout the day are well worth hanging out to hear--and your eardrums won't be assaulted by electronic amplification.
Plus the visual art is fantastic, and there's marvellous food for noshing!

I usually flee Uptown on Art Fair weekend. There is a free bus that will be running every 20 minutes from the Uptown Transit station, Powderhorn Park and the Loring Park, if one were to want to do the "booze cruise" version of an Art Fair weekend.
