Then I realized you meant the samurai helmet! The swimming pool toy is a good idea--or maybe one of those styrofoam circular tubes florists use. Must ponder more...

Your idea of cutting scales into the mask is so much better than the way we were trying to attach the neck flap/gill cover with duct tape (the photo shows an awkward first attempt)--simply didn't think of cutting a flap. We haven't finished, so we may yet be able to use your clever idea.
Thanks!

MOMO: Oh no! Well, I may reschedule the shoot if other people can't make it. Of course there'll always be someone who can't, but I really would love you and R. to be in it.

The sneering, ungenerous type can really take over. Especially if some of us are already over-sensitized to their energy. Some folks don't get as caught up in it as I do, but since I do, well... it's something to be careful of.
I hope the beautiful weather has washed away all the adrenaline!Frescahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15323129046492056942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229875339727095184.post-53409188681587006552009-11-07T15:54:45.409-06:002009-11-07T15:54:45.409-06:00Oh, I'm so sorry we will be out of town on Tha...Oh, I'm so sorry we will be out of town on Thanksgiving weekend so we can't be in the herring shoot!

Yes, I had a faculty meeting yesterday, and half the people in the room are the generous, sharing people and the other half are the paranoid, sneering, no-sharing type. I left feeling as if just speaking about anything was dangerous to my health, and spent hours trying to recover fromt the stress. And we didn't even have any conflicts. It's all in my over-developed constrictions that set off spurts of poisonous adrenaline. Ugh.momohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12149328149132703479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229875339727095184.post-70230578262807736302009-11-07T13:41:58.796-06:002009-11-07T13:41:58.796-06:00Hmmm...let me think. Do you know those long swimming pool toys? you might be able to work with those.

I wonder about cutting some scales - simply curves about 3/4 " long into the herring heads, then bending them out slightly, for texture? Well, I'm very big on texture.ArtSparkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04875996639432864367noreply@blogger.com
