A (late) Birsdey Macro

Speaking of my favorite posts (I'd forgotten I'd even made that tag), Mz made this image-macro story--one of my favorite things ever-- for my fiftieth birthday and posted it on her now-locked blog Smoothable, right before we went on Camino in 2011.

This morning she unlocked her blog so I could repost the set here.
Hm, and I see Smoothable won the Pretty Flower Blog Award from C-KAPE, which I'd forgotten:
From April 3, 2011:
"I wanted to post this March 5th, Fresca's birthday, but some things went haywire with the PC. All better now. Anyway, she's newly 50 (the Freska, not the PC), so . . . "

Oh, Marz! You are inspired. This was sooooooo worth the wait!!!!

Now I am going to be looking for Kirk all along the Camino.

Is that him?

No, a tree.

[TREE]
(Maybe my favorite frame. Though, no, I think "When I accidentally locked myself in the oven" wins out.)

I will be back to look at this many more times---this is just my initial squeeeeeeeeeeee!

I bow to you.
And any cake I find on Camino, I AM SHARING WITH YOU.

P.S. I just noticed that Spock has a twig in his hands. I wonder... might that be his birthday gift?
Or maybe Kirk handed it to him, in an offhand way, and now he is going to take it back to his quarters treasure it forever? (I bet he has a little box of special possessions, like the kids' cigar box in "To Kill a Mockingbird.")
Do you know?
P.S. Word verification is "uphyl". Of which we will be going a lot of, in northern Spain.

Love this! Of course, it's Kirk's thought that counts...
May both of you have a fantastic 500-mile mission, exploring strange old worlds, etc....

That was fun. :DDDD
What a weird illusion, Kirk must have got sunstroke.
Now that it is April 4 already, I wish you a very happy birthday too!!!! ♥
I bet Jim has left you a cake somewhere in the desert... or somewhere in Europe... oh, I think I've just found it!

Hello. I followed a link from Fresca's Facebook, and I can't leave without a couple of words of praise for this.
I love that Kirk manages to make a long and unexpectedly winding adventure out of an act that's not overly complex in itself. He carries teh drama with him!
TREE is comic genius, the ending is sweet, and I suppose the moral is that the Captain should stick to raw food in the future...?
Thanks for the giggles!

I'm laughing, laughing, laughing... and who's to say Fresca won't look like Mr. Rock by the time we hit Burgos!! I'm just saying... I'm not laying any bets.

I agree with Clowncar, the pauses! They are brilliant! You have the best comedic timing. I especially love Jim's little piqued moue when Spock beams out, and his "?"
Genius.

Great, an instant classic. Elements of Winnie the Pooh, I think. I understand you just had a birthday- congratulations on your almost majority.

“?” is my favorite. Very funny stuff, and the real spirit of the Internets (DIY).

Thanks Micahel--I'll tell Marz.
Yeah, Bake-It-Yourself, even if you burn the house down. :)
