Marz seems to have captured all the dewy, misty-eyed, looks passing between Kirk and McCoy. Looks like McCoy is his sweetheart-- which makes Spock (9 Inch Nails) his rough trade--for sure!

I know it's a draft, but it already looks perfect to me!

I’m showing this the next time I teach Gilgamesh. (I already show the famous kiss from Wings.)

When I saw the title in my reader, I thought Rahsaan Roland Kirk and McCoy Tyner. But Ella is good too. Shows you where my head is at.

BINK: I think so too--McCoy & Kirk are sweet together. Vulcans aren't sweet. (9 Inch Nails indeed!)

MICHAEL: Hey--you're right:
youTube suggests a video of McCoy & Kirk, the jazz musicians! alongside this vid!

Gilgamesh!
Thanks for the idea: I made a little mashup of that.
Did you know, there's a lot more of this homoerotic stuff ("slash") about Kirk/Spock?
Kirk/McCoy pretty much belongs to Marz.
Re the original Trek, anyway...

When you get into the reboot of Star Trek, with the 2009 and 2011 movies, which your students might be more familiar with, it's a different cast and fans pair the characters differently.

Wings, yes; I only saw that last year.
