Hi, Fismo! Nice to see you again! Yep, Advent Calendars are a tradition-- originating in Germany (like the C'mas tree)--as a way of counting down the days until Christmas. I loved them when I was a kid, and have never stopped loving the surprise of opening things (books, presents, oranges, what have you).
